A signed Estrus Records promo poster for The Untamed Youth's 1997 album An Invitation to Planet Mace (ES1231 LP / ESD1231 CD), released by Estrus out of Bellingham, Washington and recorded at For The Record in Hollywood. Deke Dickerson's hot-rod surf outfit gets the full Chantry treatment: wood-type-scale red display letters flecked with white speckle like a worn letterpress plate, reversed black bars locking the header and the billing, and a halftone band photo staged below the Hollywood sign with a flying saucer hovering in the frame. Everything about it is deliberately low-tech, the ink coverage rough, the type oversized past politeness, the whole thing built to be stapled to a telephone pole and still read from across the street. Chantry's signature sits in the lower right corner of the photograph.
