Historic Dundee Creative District

A found-object portrait of Dundee, Omaha, laid out like a collector's cabinet on a soft gray field. Davies built the piece by photographing small artifacts scavenged from the neighborhood, matchbook covers, old business cards, clay tokens, and other everyday ephemera, and composing them into a map of place, each object a node in the neighborhood's memory. Part of the 2026 Creative Districts of Nebraska Series, a collaboration between Flatwater Free Press and the Nebraska Arts Council celebrating the state's certified creative districts.
