Part of Denise Gallagher's illustration series for Design Family Reunion, the informal gathering of design friends that has convened in Monterey, California, this edition at Asilomar Beach in 2022. A tanager lands mid-song on a pencil laid across a flowering branch, while a solemn little owl and an unbothered snail hold their ground and a pine cone anchors the corner. The hand-lettered line at the bottom, "it's you we came to see," is the whole thesis of the event: not the program, the people. A magenta REUNION block and a stacked column of icons (feather, key, knot, beetle) carry the identity system across the series. Signed by the illustrator in the lower margin.
