This poster presents a typographic tour of San Francisco: illustrations of the city's most famous landmarks, among them the Ferry Building, the Transamerica Pyramid, cable cars, and the Golden Gate Bridge, composed so their shapes spell out S-A-N-F-R-A-N-C-I-S-C-O, letter by letter. Each landmark is numbered and keyed to a short fact at the bottom of the poster for out-of-town visitors. It's design as civic love letter, dense with local detail but organized with the same clarity Gee brings to his corporate identity work.
