Triple Johnny Cash

An homage to Andy Warhol and a celebration of Hatch's deep history with the Man in Black. Three overlapping photo-plate impressions of Johnny Cash, all in black, sit against a solid gold background block, a stuttering, cinematic effect born from an accident. The idea started when shop manager Jim Sherraden was teaching a group of cub scouts "making ready," the painstaking process of shimming photo plates for even impression, and deliberately shifted Cash's plate out of register to show them the difference.
