Designed for PUBLIC Bikes, the San Francisco city-bike brand, this poster builds a cyclist entirely out of street maps. Rider and machine are collaged from the grids of six cycling cities, San Francisco, London, Paris, New York, Beijing, and Amsterdam, whose names run around the edge in orange. Each map's texture does the shading: Amsterdam's canals form the wheels, Paris and Beijing fill the frame and limbs. A city is its streets, and a bike is how you read them.
