Created for AIGA's Get Out the Vote campaign, part of the Design for Democracy initiative in partnership with Vote411.org and the League of Women Voters, this poster arranges the names of every U.S. president from Washington to Obama in flowing, hand-lettered calligraphy that forms the shape of an exclamation mark against a deep navy field. Below, bold serif type spells VOTE, followed by the provocative question: 'What name will you add to this list?' The lettering by TJ Hari gives the roster of leaders an organic, human quality, a reminder that democracy is handwritten, personal, and alive. November 8th.
