The poster for the 11th Annual Alice Cooper Celebrity AM Golf Tournament, held May 7, 2007 at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, with all proceeds benefiting the Solid Rock Foundation. The headline '18 Holes of Rock 'n Roll' is drawn by hand in raw red and black strokes, offset just enough to read like a hastily inked setlist, with the tournament details knocked out of torn black bars and the whole sheet edged in a rough, scraped border. Alice stands at the right in an embroidered rose shirt and tartan pants, presenting a Callaway driver like a weapon. The photography came from a great studio session with Brian MacDonald of Wonderkind Studios: white-backdrop frames of Alice snarling behind the driver head, mid-swing with the club blurred toward the lens, biting the shaft, leaning on his skull-topped cane, and one darker setup shot against a wood-panel wall with a mounted snake over his shoulder. Nearly three decades on, the tournament is still running for Solid Rock's teen centers.
