O'Neil Printing 100th Anniversary
Justin Ahrens · 2008 · Offset lithograph
Created for O'Neil Printing's 100th anniversary, this poster was Rule29's contribution to an invited series of agencies asked to interpret the number 100. Founded in Illinois, Rule29 chose 100 Lincoln pennies, one from each year between 1908 and 2008, with a single 1943 steel cent standing apart in the grid. A tribute to Illinois, to Lincoln, and to the idea that the greatest impact is often a collection of the smallest elements.
