Perfect Pair

'Perfect Pair' is a playful mashup of music icons and their signature footwear, rendered as a full deck of illustrated playing cards and presented as an uncut poster sheet. Each card pairs a caricatured musician, guitar in hand, attitude intact, with their iconic shoe, from Converse All-Stars to wingtips to cowboy boots. The colorful grid of 54 cards spans every suit and face value, with the Rule29 'R29' monogram on the card backs and an 'A Perfect Pair' badge on the box. At the bottom, a Jack Handey quote reads: 'Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.'
