An 18×24 in. isometric bar-chart cityscape listing 344 things that will be important in the new year, rendered in three colors: cyan, yellow, and black. Each bar is labeled with an item from Bucher's stream-of-consciousness list, and the varying heights build a sweeping architectural landscape that invites you to enter at random points and explore. The graph reads as both data visualization and skyline, shifting from cool blue at the base through aqua to bright green at the peaks. It showed in the Art Directors Club's Young Guns group show in New York in 2004, where Bucher watched strangers crack up reading the entries and pointing them out to each other.

Aesthetically, this is probably my favorite piece. The graph is a perfect self-contained object. I didn't screw up on this design. I got this one right.Stefan Bucher
