Made for IBM's Distinguished Designer program, the poster scatters cut-paper squares, triangles, arcs and dots across a black sheet in a nod to mid-century modular design systems, then drags three lines of rough white brush lettering straight over the top of them. The order of the words is the argument: act first, correct while moving. Where the white ink crosses the colored shapes it goes translucent, so the grid keeps showing through the handwriting, the system and the impulse holding each other in view. Signed in silver at lower right.
